This affordable model, in combination with the X47 relay, is compatible with virtually any HVAC system found in hotel guestrooms and can control energy outputs with its intelligent occupancy sensor.
The E527 Smart Digital Thermostat includes an easy to read illuminated liquid crystal display, and its compact design allows it to be installed in both International and American standard size electrical boxes. It can be used in a standalone application or integrated with the Honeywell INNCOM Integrated Room Automation System on a centrally controlled network.
In its most basic form, the E527 can be used as an HVAC controller or thermostat in conjunction with the X47 external control module. Using the property’s determined set points, the E527 will automatically adjust the fan speed or compressor run time of the room’s air conditioner to efficiently achieve and maintain a comfortable temperature for guests at all times. The guest may also increase or decrease the temperature via simple buttons on the E527 interface, but only within the set temperature range to conserve energy.
The E527 is readily expandable to include functionality such as humidity control, mini-bar access reporting, occupancy reporting to Housekeeping, and much more. It can also act as a signal repeater with other room devices, such as Lamp Control Modules, having wireless transceivers or S5bus connectivity.
The E527 is equipped with a motion detector that works specifically in conjunction with the RFID electronic door lock to determine room occupancy. If the door lock reports that the door has been opened and closed, and no motion is detected in the room for a set number of minutes, the E527 will lower the temperature according to the property’s chosen set-points to conserve energy.
